The AM211 is a VGA resolution (640*480 pixel) USB digital microscope providing up to 200x magnification! A simple thumbwheel control adjusts the magnification between 10x and 50x (dependant upon the distance of the object from the microscope) and also provides a 200x setting for viewing in exceptional detail! The 4 built-in white light LED's (always on) provide subject illumination and the device is powered from a single USB port.

The supplied DinoCapture software for Windows enables the user to capture still images, real-time video and time-lapsed video streams quickly and easily. Once a still image has been captured text and graphics can easily be added using the built in picture editing tools after which the image can be saved in a selection of resolutions, shared and emailed from within the DinoCapture user interface.

The AM211 does not enable access to the DinoCapture measurement functions.

Dino-Lite USB microscopes can also be used as a standard webcam with applications such as MSN Messenger and Skype. This feature enables a group of remote users to view the microscope output and provides for effective online discussion of the object under inspection.

The AM211 is a great device for the home or hobby user.
